Academy Mobile Nonwovens
Technology meets textiles – spunlacing with Groz-Beckert
Duration: 60 Minutes
Languages: English, German
Insights into technology, application and innovation at Groz-Beckert
The quality of hydroentangled nonwovens is largely determined by the nonwoven formation, the card clothing used, and the design of the jet strips. Stable processes and precise tools are crucial, especially at high line speeds and with fine fibers.
In this technical online seminar, our experts impart fundamental and in-depth knowledge on hydroentanglement (spunlacing). The focus is on the interaction of carding, card clothing geometry, and jet strips, as well as their influence on fiber guidance, nonwoven uniformity, and bonding efficiency.
Contents:
- Spunlacing process overview: from nonwoven formation to bonding
- Requirements for card clothing in direct webbing and at high line speeds
- How modern metallic card clothing works, using the example of SiroLock™ plus
- Design and operating principle of jet strips in hydroentanglement systems
- Explanation of the Groz-Beckert designation systems for card clothing and jet strips
This online seminar is aimed at anyone who would like to acquire basic knowledge of nonwoven fabric bonding or refresh their existing knowledge.
Participation in our online seminar is free of charge. It will take place via Microsoft Teams, with two sessions conducted in both English and German.
